We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, book a service, or contact our support team, as well as data collected automatically as you use the app.

• Account data: your name, phone number, email address, and encrypted password.
• Booking data: saved addresses, requested service details, and any notes you add for the professional.
• Payment data: your chosen payment method type (we never store your full card details — see the Payments section).
• Usage data: device type, app version, and crash logs to help us improve reliability.

We use your data to operate and improve the platform, strictly for the following purposes:

• Matching you with a suitable, nearby professional.
• Processing bookings, payments, and issuing invoices.
• Sending booking notifications, status updates, and support communications.
• Detecting fraud and protecting your account and other platform users.
• Analyzing usage to improve service quality and build new features.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Our website and app use cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as language and city, and measure site performance through analytics tools.

• Essential cookies: required for the site to function (e.g. session and login).
• Preference cookies: remember your chosen language and city.
• Analytics cookies: help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

You can control or delete cookies from your browser settings at any time; disabling essential cookies may affect some app functionality.

We request location access to match you with the nearest available professional and provide accurate arrival estimates. You can allow location access only while using the app, or enter your address manually instead.

Location data is used during an active booking to track the professional's arrival; we do not track your location in the background without your knowledge.

We support payment via Paymob, Fawry, InstaPay, and cash on delivery. Online payments are processed entirely through licensed payment gateways compliant with PCI DSS card security standards; Khidhma never stores your full card number or CVV on its own servers.

We retain only the transaction record (amount, date, and payment status) for billing, customer service, and tax compliance purposes.

We rely on trusted service providers to operate the platform, and share with them only the minimum data necessary to perform their function:

• Payment gateways (Paymob, Fawry, InstaPay) to process transactions.
• Mapping and geolocation services for professional matching and distance estimates.
• Analytics and notification tools to improve performance and send booking updates.

Every provider is bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and use it solely for the agreed purpose.

We apply transport encryption (TLS) to all data exchanged between your app and our servers, encrypt stored passwords, and enforce strict access controls on internal systems. We review our security practices periodically to keep pace with industry best standards.

That said, no internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security. If you suspect any unauthorized activity on your account, contact us immediately.

We retain your account data for as long as it remains active. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where longer retention is required to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations (such as financial transaction records).

Our services are intended for users aged 18 and above, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that an account was created by a minor, we will close it and delete their data.

Under Egyptian Law No. 151 of 2020 on the Protection of Personal Data, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of any inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data, subject to the legal exceptions noted above.
• Withdraw consent to specific data uses, such as marketing notifications.
• Lodge a complaint with the competent regulatory authority if you believe your rights were not respected.
